Refund policy

For Backers on Kickstarter or Indiegogo:

If you ordered from Kickstarter or Indiegogo, returns and refund policies evolve over the course of a project.

Please note: We are a young startup working nonstop to bring our vision to life, so that we can all expand the ways we experience the world around us through sound. We have refund policies in place to protect you and us as a company. However, we understand that extenuating circumstances may arise that warrant an exception to our policies. If that is the case for you, please let us know and we will do our best to make things right.

During the Campaign:
While a campaign is live you may cancel your pledge at any time through the Kickstarter or Indiegogo platform.

After Production has Begun and your Pledge has Shipped:
Once production has begun and our fulfillment partners have put your package in the mail, a refund is no longer possible. Our funds have been committed to our partners - now we just ask you to sit back and wait until your pledge is in your hands (or on your head!).

It’s important to us that you enjoy your new headphones and feel like part of a successful crowdfunding project, so if you experience any issues, please fill out this formĀ and we’ll do our best to resolve your matter.

For orders purchased on our website:

Currently, all warranty claims and return requests are officially handled via email so that proper documentation can be retained. Please note that all warranty claim requests and return requests will be subject to review by our team. Additional information may be required in order to approve or deny your request.

Return/Exchange Policies & Procedures

Kaibo Audio offers a 45-day period on returns and exchanges from your date of purchase (or shipping date for pre-order items). We currently only accept returns and exchanges for items purchased via our website. To ensure we approve your return/exchange request, please make sure the headphones are in new or good condition and have not been damaged due to use or negligence. We will request that you return the headphones with all included accessories and in its original packaging.

If your return/exchange request is approved, we will send you a return shipping label via email, to be printed and affixed to your return package. Shipping out your exchange item and/or anyĀ refund will not be initiated until we have received and checked the item at our designated facility. For returns, please note that we keep $5 per item to help us cover the cost of sustainable returns handling, and that it can take 5-10 business days for the refund to appear in your account, depending on your bank. For exchanges, please note that this waives your right to a future return/refund unless in cases where a manufacturing defect prevents you from using our headphones.

Initiating a Return or Exchange

To begin a return or exchange request, pleaseĀ fill outĀ this formĀ with the following information:

  • Full Name
  • Email used to place the order
  • Order Number
  • Reason for Return: a) Improper fit, b) Defective or doesn’t work as intended, c) Just dont like it, d) Other (please specify)
  • For exchanges only:Ā please indicate which Kaibo headphones you'd like instead

Warranty Policies & Procedures

Kaibo Audio Inc.’s limited warranty covers manufacturing defects under normal use, for a period of up to 1 year from your original purchase date. We reserve the right to troubleshoot and diagnose any defects before approving a replacement. In some cases, we may ask you to return the defective headphones to our designated facility in order to assess your claim, for whichĀ the customer willĀ bear the cost of shipping.Ā Kaibo Audio shall bear the cost of shipping any replacement item back to you.

Ā Our warranty does not cover the following:

  • Defects or damages from improper use or maintenance of the product
  • Accidents resulting to damage of the product, including water damage
  • Malicious destruction or intentional damage to the product
  • Unauthorized repairs or alterations to the product
  • Normal wear and tear to the outer surfaces of the product
  • Loss or theft

Warranty Claims

To submit a warranty claim, pleaseĀ fill outĀ this formĀ with the following information:

  • Full Name
  • Email used to place the order
  • Serial Number (alphanumeric code starting with USC, foundĀ on the bottom of the packaging sleeve)
  • Description of defects experienced

For Kickstarter & Indiegogo transactions, all warranty claims must be made until March 6, 2023.
